Session: ROUNDTABLE 2: Overcoming imposter syndrome and establishing your personal brand

Kate is an experienced leader with an extensive background in transformation and organisational change management across various sectors including defence, intelligence, operational, supply chain and corporate environments. She joined the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) in July 2021.

In April 2022, Kate began acting as the Assistant Secretary Digital Recording Services and was officially appointed to the role in January 2024. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading the team to deliver responsive, professional, and high-quality Broadcasting and Hansard services to the Parliament, as well as Enterprise Information and Data Management services to DPS. Beyond operational activities, Kate also guides the branch in contributing to the department’s strategic, technology modernisation efforts.

Kate has a diverse professional background spanning both the public and private sectors. Before joining DPS, she worked at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) where she played a key role in establishing the Data and Insights Branch.
